Eastbourne Theatres has been the beating heart of the South Coast’s entertainment scene for decades. Originally purpose-built for major shows and grand occasions, the Congress Theatre is a true icon, boasting 1,655 seat capacity, unbeatable acoustics and a pro-grade stage. It’s one of the biggest theatres in southern England for a reason.
The Devonshire Park Theatre, designed by the acclaimed theatre architect Frank Matcham, is an iconic slice of Victorian elegance, complete with intricate plasterwork and historic charm. Recognised as one of the finest examples of a small Victorian theatre in the country, it’s no wonder it once scooped the ‘Most Welcoming Theatre’ award.
