Our History & Programming
Situated in the heart of a busy Roman market town, the Orchard Theatre opened in 1983, bringing an eclectic range of entertainment to Dartford.
Since then, the Orchard Theatre has become a cherished regional icon and a hub of cultural and business activity, offering a blend of historical charm and modern functionality.
Capacity
Our venues are designed to accommodate events of all sizes. A main auditorium is ideal for large-scale gatherings, seating up to 956 guests, and also has the option to convert to flat-floor for standing ceremonies and parties of up to 900.
Our restaurant at the Orchard Theatre offers a modular space that can be easily adapted and is able to host up to 100 guests, perfect both for sit-down dining or grab-and-go buffets.
